Victoria Aldridge, School of Communication alumna and senior news producer with NBCUniversal in Miami was a guest speaker in Barbara Bullington’s section of Media Writing and Reporting this week this spring. Students in attendance learned a lot of valuable information about working behind-the-scenes at a Miami news station.
Jamison Baile ’23 stood with a 360 camera behind the goal where Argentina’s Lionel Messi broke the record for the most FIFA World Cup goals when we scored against Austria at Dallas Stadium on June 22. Baile holds a bachelor’s degree in communication with a public relations concentration. For a month this summer she was stationed in Arlington, Texas, outside Dallas, working as a 360-camera operator for Host Broadcast Services, the broadcast team for FIFA, the international soccer governing body.
Cooper Bumgarner ’26, who earned a Bachelor of Music in music education, will teach music at Benson Elementary School in Benson, N.C.
Dr. Dorothy Glick Maglione ’07 recently joined the Kansas State University School of Music, Theatre and Dance as an assistant professor of music history and musicology. Dr. Maglione earned her Bachelor of Music in music education from ECU.
Tansy OBryant ’26, who graduated with her MFA in Art, focused on ceramics, was accepted into a six-month artist residency at the International Ceramic Research Center in Guldagergaard, Denmark. Artists gather from across the globe at the center, and this marks a great accomplishment.
As part of their degree requirements, music therapy grad Dexter Poindexter ’26 earned an internship at the ECU Music Therapy Clinic.
McCade Walker ’26, who earned a Master of Music in piano performance, will attend the University of Georgia Hugh Hodgson School of Music to pursue a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in piano performance.
